Senator Olubiyi Abdulazeez Fadeyi, who represents the Osun Central Senatorial District, has announced his plans to team up with Sichuan Witent Technology Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of CNG conversion kits.

This collaboration aims to establish a state-of-the-art workshop in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.

Sichuan Witent Technology Co., Ltd. is recognized as a modern high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, production, sales, and service of CNG conversion technologies. This strategic initiative is expected to significantly enhance local content and capabilities.

The planned CNG conversion center in Osogbo will focus on the local manufacturing of conversion kits, the actual conversion process, job creation, skill development, and reducing dependency on imports.

According to Bashorun Adekanola Desmond Abiodun, the Special Adviser on Digital Media to the Senator, the ambitious goal is to convert one million commercial vehicles to CNG by 2027. “We plan to expand this initiative to include 50 conversion centers and more than 50 CNG retail outlets across Osun Central in the near future,” he stated.
