The Senator representing Kogi Central at the National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has expressed pride in Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, after testing negative for hard drugs but only associated with ecstasy, better known as Molly.
Naijaonpoint reports that Regina announced that she voluntarily underwent a drug test to put to rest persistent rumours about her conduct.
The actress made the revelation in an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday, describing the past few months as a period of intense struggle that nearly overwhelmed her.
In her heartfelt post, Daniels shared how the ordeal tested her resilience.
She wrote, “The past few months of my life have been nothing short of heavy, one of those seasons that tries to sit on your chest and ask, ‘So, what are we doing next?
“It has been a major turning point, one that shook me to my core. Everything I had ever known was drowning right in front of me.”
Despite the emotional pressure, Daniels said she survived because of the support she received.
She further stated, “But here’s the plot twist… I didn’t drown with it. Why? Because I was carried by overwhelming love, support, patience, and understanding from my family, my friends, members of the general public. And for that, I am forever grateful.”
Reacting, Senator Natasha took to the comment section of Regina’s post like many of the thespian’s colleagues and fans to share her opinion.
She wrote, “Your journey is yours to OWN and I am so proud of you my darling.”
