‘Send Trump and Netanyahu to hell’: Iran weighs $58 million bounty bill targeting the two leaders

Iran is weighing legislation that would place a multimillion-dollar bounty on US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a report by Iran Wire.

The move comes amid escalating regional tensions and continuing diplomatic engagements involving Tehran, Washington and Tel Aviv.

According to the report, Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said lawmakers were drafting a bill titled ‘Counter-Action by the Military and Security Forces of the Islamic Republic’.

The proposed legislation would earmark 50 million euros (around $58 million) for individuals or organisations involved in targeting the two leaders, added the report.

Azizi said Trump, Netanyahu and United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper should face “counter-action” over their alleged “role in the assassination of Khamenei”.

Another member of Iran’s national security commission, Mahmoud Nabavian, reportedly said parliament would soon review a proposal offering rewards for anyone who “sends Trump and Netanyahu to hell”.

The report emerged days after Masaf, described as a pro-regime Iranian media outlet, claimed authorities had secured $50 million in funding for a campaign called “Kill Trump”.

Earlier, the Iran-linked cyber group “Handala” also claimed it had allocated $50 million for the “elimination of the primary architects of oppression and corruption,” referring to Trump and Netanyahu, following a US Department of Justice announcement of a $10 million reward linked to the group.

Handala said the funds would go to any individual or organisation that took “actual action” against the two leaders.

Diplomatic tensions rise

The reported proposal has added to concerns over increasingly hostile rhetoric at a time when diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Washington remains underway over wider regional and security issues.

The latest developments come amid reports that Iran has submitted a fresh peace proposal to the United States. However, American officials have reportedly indicated that the proposal does not adequately address key expectations from Washington.

“We are really not making a lot of progress. We are at a very serious place today. The pressure is on them to be responsive in the right way,” Axios quoted a US official as saying while commenting on the latest Iranian proposal.

The renewed tensions have also brought focus back to earlier remarks made by President rump regarding alleged threats from Tehran.

Last year, Trump warned that if Iran attempted to assassinate him, the United States would issue “very strict orders” to “wipe them off the face of the Earth”.
