Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola Salako has given an update on her ailing colleague, Tope Osoba.

Kemi Filani reported on Friday that Foluke had shared a video of Osoba appreciating the public for supporting and rendering financial assistance to her to undergo breast cancer surgery. Foluke revealed that Tope had gone through the surgery, and though they didn’t get much, they appreciated the public for their assistance.

Giving an update on her health, Foluke shared a video of Tope on a hospital bed as she revealed that the actress is in a recovery stage and would be coming back with a bang.

Tope also addressed the public in the video as she appreciated them for their love and support and assured them that she was alive and stronger.

“Hello, everybody. Thank you for the love. I appreciate you all. I am alive, and I am stronger than ever”.

“Thank u! Thank u!! Thank u to everyone. @osobatemitope appreciates u all. She’s recuperating just fine. God bless u all. A ni shey aisan o. Amin

Recall that in February, in an interview with her colleague, Biola Bayo, Temitope recounted a traumatizing moment of sexual assault by her uncle after she moved to her grandmother’s house. This affected her career to some extent and she suffered depression because of her inability to make ends meet.

Over the years, Foluke has become a mouthpiece for ailing veterans, and her colleagues. In March of 2023, Daramola had cried out for help over veteran actress, Obiqgheli Molobe’s ailing health. She urged the public to offer financial assistance to Obiqgheli and her children as the actress was down with a partial stroke, diabetes and has High Blood Pressure.

In August of this year, Foluke had called for support for her ailing production manager, Yusuf Olorungbebe, who eventually died. Speaking on his death, Daramola expressed heartbreak over his demise, as she appreciated the public for their support.

She had written an open letter to President Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, on the poor state of Nollywood actors. She noted how many veteran actors suffer, especially health-wise, and have no help. Foluke urged the president to offer a better arrangement for the veterans and to set up a trust fund for them.
