Nigerian singer and songwriter Waje Iruobe has revealed one of her biggest lessons of 2024 so far.
Taking to her Instagram page to share a rare family photo with her daughter, she avowed that when one decides to make serious life changes to improve one’s life and health, it’s almost inevitable that they will ruffle someone’s feathers.
She stated that people who aren’t ready to change don’t want others to either. Waje reminded her followers that it is those people’s problem and not theirs, so they shouldn’t blame themselves for their choices but only be responsible for theirs.
Waje added that emotional intelligence is a gift that keeps giving, and her decision to look the other way in silence for a time isn’t a sign of weakness. She ended her post by saying gratitude is the healthiest form of all human emotions.

In March, Waje celebrated her daughter, Emerald Ogo, as she turned 25. The mother of one penned a powerful note to her mini-me as she expressed how proud she was that she was now the mother of a 25-year-old graduate. In a message to her daughter, she stated that she was filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude for the remarkable young woman she had become.
In other news, Nigerian singer Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu, better known as Ric Hassani, had spoken out on his relationship with fellow singer, Waje. In an interview with Radio station Hot FM Lagos, he debunked rumors of an affair as he made it clear that he was never in a relationship with the mother of one and all of it was all planned by Waje. He stayed quiet and did not address the rumour to see what would happen.
Recall that in 2021, Waje and Ric Hassani were on the lips of many and the cynosure of all eyes with after Waje sparked relationship rumours. Many had assumed that the singers were in a committed relationship.
