According to our reporter, Ijaw leader and Rivers elder statesman Anabs Sara-Igbe has slammed Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s calm approach amid impeachment threats, claiming lawmakers would face arrest if anti-corruption probes were launched. Speaking to Symfoni TV, Sara-Igbe said, “If Fubara had issued executive orders, some lawmakers would have been arrested by now.”

He criticized Fubara’s refusal to engage the EFCC or ICPC over alleged misappropriation of constituency funds totaling billions, calling the governor “too kind” and “too peaceful,” which he says emboldens political foes. Sara-Igbe warned that Fubara’s democratic patience is misread as weakness, fueling attempts to unseat him.

His fiery remarks urge a tougher stance to safeguard the administration from mounting political attacks.
