Sony claims it increased its supply of PlayStation 5 consoles
The PlayStation 5 consoles have been out a little more than two years by now, and Sony has already seen many great titles worthy of its new machine. But, it’s been tough a unit, especially if you’re slow to the game or unwilling to pay scalper prices for one.
Earlier today (30 January 2023 in US timezone), Sony uploaded a blog post saying that the PlayStation 5 (both Disc and Digital versions) are now back in stock, with a very vague quote:
To all our fans: thank you for your patience as we navigated unprecedented demand for the PS5 console amid global challenges. If you’re looking to purchase a PS5 console, you should now have a much easier time finding one at retailers globally.
Other updates to the PlayStation ecosystem include a new accessory, the DualSense Edge wireless controller. This official controller was announced in October 2022, with global availability starting this month. It features replaceable stick modules and caps, customisable presets, a USB braided cable with lockable connector housing, adjustable trigger actuation lengths, and mappable back buttons where your fingertips rest.
