A Media Development and Management Consultant, Dr. Augustine Okolie Martins has called on the newly elected governors of the southeast to synergize in addressing the security and economic challenges facing the region.
The former Enugu state Director of National Orientation Agency, made the call in a live interactive programme, Frontliner on UgamaTv, Enugu.
Dr. Okolie expressed hope in the new crop of governors in pushing for viable policies, that will enhance the development and progress of the Southeastern states.

The Senior Lecturer blamed the irregularities of the polls and low voter turnout during the governorship elections, to the inability of INEC to keep to its promise of uploading results in realtime from the polling unit.
He however noted that the electoral body has power to review results, order for a rerun in troubled areas but not to cancel results.
He described the Enugu Governorship election as a reflection of the “obidient” movement that broke the monopoly of a system of power in the state, and expressed confidence in the Governor-elect to deliver on his promises.
He also faulted the electoral body for delaying to announce the winner of Enugu election describing it as a soar point that raised many eye brows.
Commenting on the issue of majority in the state assembly, he noted the governor-elect will do well based on the parameters of competence, but may encounter problems if he decides play politics.
Reacting, to the comment by the Abia state Governor-elect, Alex Otti, of “winning without Obi’s help”, the public commentator, described Mr. Peter Obi as a major factor that changed the dynamics of politics in the country, noting that there is no smoke without fire.
