Some Nigerian celebrities have found themselves in trouble with the law, leading to official “wanted” declarations by Nigerian authorities.

Naijaonpoint reports that among them is Speed Darlington also known as Akpi, who was declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in June 2025.

The agency accused the controversial singer of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking after he failed to show up for questioning.

In February 2025, popular street artiste Portable was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command over allegations of assault and attempted murder.

Portable was accused of attacking a group of individuals and leading a violent confrontation with officials in Sango Ota, Ogun State.

Back in April 2023, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) declared socialite couple, Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen, alongside Prophetess Faith Ugochi, as wanted persons.

The trio were allegedly involved in a cross-border drug trafficking ring and accused recruiting teenage girls to smuggle drugs to other countries.

Another high-profile case involves Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, a former beauty queen, who was declared wanted by the NDLEA in January 2024.

She fled her home in Lekki, Lagos, when officials raided the premises and found banned substances. Months later, she surrendered to the agency in September 2024.

Popular Instagram personality, Oluwasegun Opaogun also known as Opa6ix was also declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2021. He was accused of internet fraud and obtaining money under false pretence.

Also declared wanted by the NDLEA was Lagos hotelier Ademola Kazeem, also known as Alhaji Abdallah Kazeem in connection to large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering.
