Allison Holker, the widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, the former deejay for the Ellen DeGeneres Show, has opened up again about the late star’s alleged drug addiction.
Her husband passed away in December 2022 at age 40. His cause of death was suicide.
Holker says she discovered a “cornucopia” of drugs — including mushrooms, pills, and “other substances I had to look up on my phone.” She alleges she found them in a shoe box while she was going through his closet to try and find an outfit for him to wear for his funeral.
“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about],” she told PEOPLE. “It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”
Holker is promoting her memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light which will be released on Feb. 4 from Harper Select.
