Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has joined the thousands of celebrities and online users taking part in the trending 2016 throwback challenge.
Sharing photos from her fashionista era and magazine covers in 2016, Aigbe noted that year was when the looks were intentional, and the covers spoke for themselves.
The mother of two noted how, a decade later, she is still standing and evolving.

In a past post, Mercy Aigbe had wowed her fans with a throwback photo of herself and her daughter, Michelle. Aigbe noted that she has been a fashionista from the onset, poking fun at her style.
Last year, the filmmaker fulfilled her late father’s wish by starring in a Benin movie. The wife of Kazim expressed a wish that he could see the movie, as she knows he would be proud of her.
Also, last year, the movie star beat several of her colleagues, such as Meg Otanwa, Tina MBA, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima Okojie, Omoni Oboli, and Darasimi Nadi, to win Best Supporting Actress for her role in Farmer’s Bride at the AMVCA 11th edition.
Days before the AMVCA, Aigbe reflected on her first AMVCA win and noted that she has received several nominations since then. The wife of Kazim Adeoti expressed gratitude that despite over twenty years in the industry, she is still relevant and still gets nominations. Aigbe said she can’t override the power of consistency, authenticity, and reinvention in her journey.
