Stockbrokers’ institute appoints new CEO

The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers has appointed Ayo Adeonipekun as its new registrar and chief executive officer.

Adeonipekun, with over 25 years of experience in finance and corporate management, succeeds Josiah Akerewusi, who retired after a decade of service.

Before his appointment, Adeonipekun was the pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Reliance Capital Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Finance and is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance at Olabisi Onabanjo University. A Fellow of the CIS and a Chartered Accountant, Adeonipekun brings significant expertise to the role.

The President and Chairman of the CIS, Oluropo Dada, commended Adeonipekun’s leadership qualities, stating he is equipped to lead the institute into a new era of growth and certification excellence.
