Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has expressed his affection for English Premier League giants Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.

Adams’ career has progressed rapidly over the last three years. He has risen from playing for Sogndal in the second tier of the Norwegian league in 2022 to leading the line in Laliga for Sevilla.

This season, the Benue-born forward has contributed five goals and two assists in 15 appearances for Los Nervionenses in the Spanish top flight.

Two of those goals came on Monday, as he netted a crucial brace to help his side erase a two-goal deficit and secure a 2-2 draw away at Elche.

That heroic performance came immediately after an impressive campaign with Nigeria at the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

In a related development, a video has emerged showing Adams’ clear affinity for Manchester United.

During the AFCON, Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi ran a vlog documenting the team’s journey. On Saturday, the same day Nigeria played their final game of the tournament, the Premier League hosted the Manchester derby, which United won 2-0.

While the Super Eagles were en route to the stadium for their third-place match against Egypt, the derby was reaching its conclusion.

Once the final whistle blew in England, Adams alerted several of his teammates to the result and was evidently beaming with joy.

The Sevilla man was visibly excited by the Red Devils’ victory, showing that he is a big supporter of the former Premier League champions.

Does Akor Adams Want To Move To Manchester United?

Akor Adams’ celebration of Manchester United’s victory over Manchester City shows that he is a big fan, and it is not a surprise.

The former Premier League champions have a huge fans base in Nigeria, and some of their fans are even professional footballers.

Recall that Odion Ighalo had always expressed his affection for the club until he joined them in 2020. Also, Brentford star Frank Onyeka recently said he would love to play for the club if he gets an opportunity.

Adams is currently a Sevilla player, and he has never openly expressed his desire to move to another club. But judging by the glee in his eyes in the above video he looks like someone who would jump at an opportunity to don Manchester United colours.

The 25-year-old still has to work on his game and improve his numbers significantly.
