SZA has announced that she is no longer being managed by co-president of Top Dawg Entertainment, Punch, a move that shocked fans.

Fans first suspected the news after the singer and Punch unfollowed each other on social media. Punch also removed SZA from his bio.

“To be clear, I love Punch deeply. NO ONE should be attacking him or being cruel on my behalf,” she wrote. “Sometimes people grow apart, and that’s okay.”

She continued, “This isn’t something to celebrate. It’s the end of an era. I wish him nothing but the best in whatever path he chooses.”

The decision comes the same year as the release of her biggest-selling album, SOS.

SZA’s album SOS completely dominated 2023, selling a jaw-dropping 3.172 million units in the U.S. alone, making it the third-biggest album of the year. But that’s not all—SOS pulled off the biggest streaming week EVER for an R&B album and the project spent a whopping 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart… the longest reign at the top for an album by a woman in YEARS.

SZA and Punch have had some issues in the past, so fans were not entirely shocked.
