T.I. is opening up about how his family reacted during his public feud with 50 Cent.
During a recent appearance on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, the Atlanta rapper reflected on the tension that unfolded after 50 Cent shared memes targeting his wife, Tiny.
According to T.I., ...s prompted his sons, King and Domani Harris, to step in and defend their mother online.
While he admitted he was not thrilled to see his children get involved in the dispute, he said their loyalty meant a lot to him.
“The one thing that I am proud of out of all this is that the women and children in our family see that it’s a line of men that’s here against who the f–k ever,” T.I. said.
At the same time, the rapper revealed there was a moment when he felt the situation crossed a line. He recalled seeing King wearing a T-shirt featuring a photo of 50 Cent’s late mother, Sabrina Jackson.
“I said that’s enough when I seen that damn T-shirt,” he explained. “I said, ‘Man, chill out.’ I’m big on treating people the way I want to be treated.”
T.I. also dismissed the idea that the feud served as publicity for his upcoming album, Kill the King. “This ain’t promo,” he said, adding that the conflict is now behind him.
