Tata Motors Cars Price Hike: The country’s popular vehicle company Tata Motors is going to shock the customers. The company may increase the prices of its Passenger Vehicles (PV) from next month. The company said that it is considering increasing the prices of its cars to make them compliant with the emission norms that will come into effect from April 1, 2023. Shailesh Chandra, managing director (passenger and electric vehicles) of Tata Motors, said that the increase in prices will also reduce the impact of rising raw material prices.

Strict rules will be applicable from April
Shailesh Chandra said that the strict emission norms that will be implemented from April are going to have an impact on the cost of making the car. He said that the prices of batteries have also increased and yet its burden has not been put on the market. Chandra said that due to all these high prices, we are also considering a price hike. Battery prices and new regulations have affected the EV segment.

He said that adapting various models to the new emission norms will also cost. Tata Motors sells several models like Punch, Nexon, Harrier and Safari in the domestic market. In the electric car market, the company has products like Nexon EV, Tigor EV and Tiago EV.

Let us tell you that in the month of November, Tata Nexon has been the best selling SUV of the country. It sold 15,871 units last month. It has been on the second position after Maruti Baleno in the list of overall vehicles. Currently, the price of this SUV starts from Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
