Popular Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop has demanded the arrest of Nollywood actress, Peggy Ovire over the alleged assault of his colleague, Taye Arimoro.
Naijaonpoint reports that Arimoro had called out Peggy in a series of videos on his Instagram page on Wednesday for assaulting him at the movie location, an allegation earlier denied by the actress.
However a CCTV footage surfaced online on Thursday morning following Peggy’s denial of assaulting the actor and her claim that he was the one who assaulted her driver.
Reacting to the video evidence against Peggy, Ontop, in a post on his Instagram page, called for her arrest.
While tagging the Nigeria Police Force in his post, Stanley stated, “No actor should be bullied.”
He added: “Dear @nigeriapoliceforce, a Nollywood actor called @tayearimoro was assaulted by a producer, Peggy and her driver. The actor refused to shoot beyond 12 am because the contract he had with Peggy had already expired. Instead of Peggy pleading with him, she assaulted him and also told her driver to assault him too, which resulted in a serious injury.
“Peggy should be in police custody as we speak now for a case of assault. I am calling on Lagos State Police Command to act quickly in arresting Peggy. CCTV has shown how Peggy and his gang of crew surrounded Taye’s vehicle in an attempt to beat him.”
