Lima Taiwo, one of the daughters of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, has paid an emotional tribute to him.
During Senator Yayi’s visit to her father’s home, she described her late father as her best friend, appreciating him for fighting and for the life he lived.
Lima also appreciated him for being a good husband to their mummies and for being a good daddy to them.
“My daddy, I know you are not here, but thank you for fighting. Thank you for the life that you lived, thank you for being a good husband to our mummies and for being a good daddy. He was my best friend.
A few days ago, her sister, Kira, visited their father’s graveside and asked how she would attend Odunfa without him. She prayed that his sins and shortcomings be forgiven and promised to love him forever.
Kemi Filani reported on Sunday, August 23rd, that the actor had died after battling stage 4 cancer. His daughter shared the sad news in a live video.
He was buried amidst tears on Monday, August 24th, with many of his industry colleagues in attendance.
After her father’s death, Kira, shared their last conversation, where he told them that their cries made him sad and that he would stay to think. Taiwo admonished them to be strong, as nothing would happen to him.
Following their father’s burial, news went viral that Kira had welcomed a child, just days after her father’s death.
Issuing a disclaimer, her younger sister, Lima told the public to disregard the information as it isn’t true. She said that at a time when they were still mourning the loss of her father, they kindly ask the public to stop spreading or sharing unverified information about them.
Two years ago, Taiwo had written to his daughter as she transitioned to motherhood. He expressed his pride in her, saying every step filled his heart with immeasurable pride and joy. The veteran actor further promised to be her rock, confidant, and biggest supporter.
In February, 2024, Ogogo announced to the world that he was a grandfather, as his son had welcomed a child. Taiwo who was no doubt excited stated that which of God’s favor would he deny as he noted how his creator always blesses people with their heart desires.
Recall that his son, Taiwo Opeyemi Ibrahim tied the knot to the love of his life in September, 2023.
Sharing photos from the court wedding, the proud father of six expressed pride in his son, as he announced that his son had decided to make it official with his woman and congratulated him for his blessing.
The likes of Gabriel Afolayan, Ayo Adesanya, Kiitan Bukola, Alesh Sanni, Mustapha Sholagbade, Sotayo Gaga, and others took to his son’s comment section to rejoice with him.
Also in 2024, the family of Taiwo Hassan had rejected the marriage proposal of his junior colleague, Doyin Kukoyi.
Speaking on behalf of her family, Kira Taiwo, one of the daughters of Taiwo Hassan declared that the Taiwo family house was already full and didn’t need any new women.
