Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has been betrayed by her daughter, Royalty.
The award-winning singer, who turned a year older on Saturday, shared a video of her bonding with her daughter as she urged her to call her ‘Mama’.
Unfortunately, Chinwo’s daughter repeatedly called her ‘Dada’, which left the singer heartbroken.
A heartbroken Chinwo lamented over how she carried her daughter for nine months, fed her, bathed her, and did everything for her, yet her mini-me couldn’t give her the one birthday gift she desired.
“After carrying her, feeding her, bathing her, and doing everything for her, I asked for one birthday gift: Mama
She looked at me and said, “DADA,” without hesitation.

On her birthday, her husband had churned out beautiful words for her, describing her as the wife of his youth. He said he recognised the grace she carries, which has increased since he met her.
A few months back, while sharing a throwback photo from her maternity shoot, Mercy described the birth of her daughter as a miracle, saying the season would forever be special to her.
While sharing photos of herself and her daughter, Mercy stated that her life is a testimony of God’s grace, as she prayed for expectant mothers.

Mercy Chinwo and Pastor Blessed tied the knot in a star-studded wedding on August 12th and 13th at Mercy’s hometown in Port Harcourt. Celebrities like Banky W, Adesua Etomi, Waje, Chigurl, Joe Praiz, and others.
In October, 2023, Mercy confirmed that she and her husband, had welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Mercy expressed gratitude to God for their addition, stating that her heart and that of her husband are filled with joy and gratitude.
On Mother’s Day, Pastor Blessed showered her with praise, expressing how blessed his kids are to have her as a mother and expressed how blessed he is to walk the journey of life and parenthood with her.
