Adekunle Gold has undoubtedly left his footprint in the music industry and made a name for himself.
In March, Adekunle was left emotional after selling out the Wembley Arena in London. The singer, in a viral video, was seen crying after his sold-out show, as his ever-supportive wife Simi comforted him.
To celebrate his eight years of being in the music industry and releasing his first album, Adekunle appreciated his senior colleague and YBNL boss, Olamide. Reminiscing on his first album, he appreciated Olamide for giving him a chance as he noted how he was just a young graphic designer who Olamide gave the chance to design his YBNL logo and be a part of the record label.
Reacting to it, Olamide reposted the appreciation post on his Twitter page, as he declared the singer his family.
In August, Adekunle Gold had some good news to share on Instagram, and it was about his album Vol.1, which he released a few years ago. He noted how four years ago, he took the biggest leap in his career and created the album. He stated that the journey was filled with dear and uncertainty, but it transformed his life in ways he couldn’t imagine.
Last year, Adekunle, alongside Yemi Alade, took the global stage with their debut on The Book of Clarence. The two music stars, alongside international artists like Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kid Cudi, Jorja Smith, Shabba Ranks, and more, featured on the movie with a soundtrack. The movie had, however, received tons of backlash from netizens calling it blasphemous and dragging Adekunle.
