The Weeknd’s Weight Gain Has the Internet Screaming — Fans Say He’s “NFL Lineman Size” Now

Well… somebody’s been enjoying the catering on tour.

The Weeknd — yes, the same man who gave us “Can’t Feel My Face” — is now giving “Can’t See My Neck”, according to the internet. New pics of Abel Tesfaye have leaked, and let’s just say… our boy is looking substantiallymore “all you can eat buffet” than “skinny, moody vampire.” Social media detectives swear he’s tipping the scales at over 300 pounds — which, for reference, is the weight of a fully grown NFL lineman.

Now before y’all start clutching your pearls, let’s remember: The Weeknd has been on a monster tour for months. The schedule is insane — constant flights, crazy hours, late-night studio sessions, and probably way too many room-service orders. So is it stress eating? Is it happiness eating? Or maybe he’s just letting his “dad bod era” shine in peace?

From Slim Jim to Big Abel
Fans have been posting throwback shots from just a couple years ago, when Abel was rocking those skinny leather pants and moody, jawline-carved selfies. Now, he’s looking… cozier. Much cozier. And while some fans are yelling “health emergency,” others are defending him like he’s their brother. “Let Abel eat,” one fan wrote. “Y’all were the same ones dragging him for being too skinny.”

We can’t lie — he does look happy. Maybe this is his love-weight phase. Or maybe touring has just introduced him to the joys of post-show cheeseburgers. Who are we to judge?

The Internet Has No Chill
Of course, Twitter (sorry… X) is having a field day. Memes comparing him to defensive tackles are going viral. One viral post joked, “The Weeknd is now The Weekend & Monday.” Another said, “He went from Starboy to Largeboy real quick.” The comments section is brutal.

Still, there’s a group of die-hard fans calling the rest of us out for body-shaming. “Y’all only love these celebs when they’re malnourished,” one person posted. “He’s still the most talented artist of our generation — who cares about the scale?”

Abel Stays Silent
So far, The Weeknd has not addressed the chatter. No tweets, no interviews, no cheeky IG captions. Which is honestly a power move — why give the gossip oxygen? He’s still showing up on stage, giving those high-energy performances, lights, pyrotechnics, and all. If he’s slowed down physically, the fans in the nosebleeds can’t tell.

The Bigger Picture
If this is more than just a “tour belly,” we hope Abel’s taking care of himself. The grind of being one of the world’s biggest pop stars — and constantly on the road — is enough to mess with anyone’s routine. Add in the pressure of public image, and you’ve got the perfect storm for weight changes, whether up or down.

At the end of the day, size doesn’t change talent — and Abel’s still got hits for days. So, while the internet is busy counting his alleged calories, he’s probably busy counting ticket sales.

But let’s be real — if The Weeknd drops another album like After Hours, he could show up in Crocs and a muumuu and we’d still stream it on repeat.
