‘There is nothing stopping the coalition’, former APC Vice Chairman

A former National Vice Chairman (North West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Salihu Lukman has said that nothing is stopping the planned political coalition from happening.

Lukman while speaking on Channels Television on Friday said the major aim of the coalition is to wrestle power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

He said the coalition hopes to achieve this feat through two strategies – by forming a new political party or totally overhauling an already existing party.

His words, “There is nothing stopping the coalition from coming to fruition.

“Even when the governors claimed, for instance, they were not part of the coalition, we responded clearly. Some of them, as you have seen, either have already moved to the APC or are on their way to move to the APC,” Lukman said.

The former National Vice Chairman of the party further warned of the danger in the governors, lawmakers and other key political bigwigs bent on doing the bidding of the president.

However, stating that the coalition is not worried about such moves by the ruling party, Lukman the team already has the majority of the Peoples Democratic leaders and members in the coalition.

He also assured the public that in due time, they would clarify all the details needed to know about the planned coalition.
