Toke Makinwa shared some candid thoughts about her growth as an actress, starting from her highs and lows, down to where she is at the moment in her career.

She started by talking about the number of movies she’s worked on this year so far, and here’s what she wrote;

Going forward, Toke Makinwa spoke about all the things she has missed out on, just to focus on her acting career, and she wrote;

“There has been a lot of sacrifice too. I’ve missed out on so much fun things happening but there’ll always be time to turn up some more. Once I commit to something, I chase it with everything.”

Toke Makinwa went on to share life lessons and advise to people who are goal oriented, and here’s what she said;

”LAST ONE I PROMISE, TAKE YOURSELF OUT OF THE “CONTEXT” OF HOW YOU THINK YOUR LIFE WILL HAPPEN.

IT’S GOOD TO HAVE A PICTURE IN YOUR HEAD OF WHAT YOU WANT OR THINK YOU
SHOULD BE BUT LET GOD WORK IT OUT. LET GO , STAY FAITHFUL AND SHOW UP EXPECTANT.

3 years ago I moved to LA with the thought of becoming the next Nigerian to break into the world of acting out there, I was so sure it was the next move, started taking classes too. God said not yet. But gave me room to grow back home.

I look back now and I’m thankful it didn’t happen cos I was not half as confident or even good or ready for the job. Today I’ve grown, I’m still learning but I’m much more confident. The dream is not wrong, the
timing must be right to protect you.”
