Vanessa Okoye, the daughter of talent manager and music executive Paulo Okoye, is celebrating her daughter, Zariah, as she turns one.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Vanessa admitted that there were moments when she questioned herself as a mother, afraid of failing her daughter. However, her daughter reminded her daily why she can’t give up. She revealed that her daughter’s laughter heals her, her smile strengthens her, and her little hands around her give her hope.
The proud mother revealed that her mini-me has been her greatest blessing and energy booster. She described the last year with her as meaningful as her daughter has brought light into her world and given her reasons to smile, fight and love life.

My baby girl, my angel, my heartbeat.
Today, we celebrate one full year of your beautiful life. It feels like just yesterday I held you in my arms for the first time, and now here you are, turning ONE.
Zariah, you have been my energy booster and my greatest blessing. This past year with you has been more meaningful than all the other years I have lived. You’ve brought light into my world, gave me reasons to smile again, to fight through the hard days, and to love life in a way I never thought possible.
It hasn’t always been easy. There have been struggles, tears, and sleepless nights. There were moments when I questioned myself as a mother, afraid of failing you. But every day, you reminded me why I cannot give up. Your laughter heals me, your smile gives me strength, and your little hands wrapped around me give me hope.
My sweet girl, you are truly an angel sent from God. You are such a happy child—always full of energy, hardly ever crying, always spreading joy.

In January, while celebrating her 28th birthday, Vanessa described her experience as a new mum as a game-changer, showing her that she was capable of more than she ever thought possible. She added that she was stepping into the woman she has always meant to be.
Recall that in September, last year Vanessa announced via her Instagram page that she had welcomed her bundle of joy. Vanessa disclosed her baby girl’s name as Zariah Nwamaka Okoye and she accompanied ... with cute photos.
Paulo Okoye, whose joy knew no bounds, shared one of the photos on Instagram and updated his name. The talent manager noted that he is now a grandfather and urged everyone to address him as such.
A month after her child’s birth, she had revealed Paulo’s reaction to the news of her pregnancy. She said she told him about her pregnancy in February while she was in London, and he took it like how every Igbo father, as he was quiet and didn’t express much but was supportive from the beginning to the end.
