“This accident has shattered me completely” – Peter Okoye heartbroken following Anthony Joshua’s fatal accident

This accident has shattered me completely Peter Okoye expressed heartbreak for Anthony Joshua Kemi F

Nigerian music star Peter Okoye has broken his silence following boxer Anthony Joshua’s accident.

Kemi Filani reported on Monday that the World heavyweight boxer was involved in a road accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Makun area of Ogun State. He was said to be travelling in a Lexus SUV with registration number KRD 850 HN, which collided with a stationary truck. While the boxer sustained minor injuries, two occupants of the vehicle reportedly died on the spot.

Reacting to the sad news on his Instagram page, Peter said this accident shattered him completely. He said he can’t believe Anthony Joshua’s friends Latz and Sina are dead.

Sending a message to Joshua, he said his heart breaks for him and promised that his late friends will forever live in their memories and in the love they left behind

He said that despite the storm, he is grateful to God for sparing his life and prayed that God comforts, guide, and help him carry their legacy with pride and strength.

“This accident has shattered me completely. Latz & Sina, I can’t believe you’re gone. Why?
To my brother @Anthonyjoshua, my heart breaks for you. Latz & Sina will forever live in our memories and in the love they left behind.
Even in the middle of this storm, we are grateful to God for sparing your life. May He comfort you, guide you, and help you carry their legacy with pride and strength.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Stay strong, brother”.

Similarly, Ayo Makun had noted that lives are being taken for granted in Nigeria. He expressed how saddened he was that a Nigerian who has carried our flag with pride across the world returned home only for two of his closest associates to be met by death on our roads. He called for safer roads, proper enforcement, effective emergency response systems, and a government that treats human life as sacred.

In April of this year, Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo, was left in awe after a surprise visit from Anthony Joshua. Calling herself a die-hard fan, she described the experience as pure joy and unforgettable. Expressing gratitude for the visit, she noted how inspired she was and how she was still smiling.

In other news, Peter had shared photos of himself with billionaire Aliko Dangote, noting that rich people don’t have shame and are always chasing opportunities. He made it known that shame is for the broke ones. An X user pointed out the irony in which Peter said he has no shame, yet went for a hair transplant.

The singer had responded to a troll who admonished him to kill pride and make peace with his brother. Peter responded, telling him to cry harder and gave him a bucket to cry more.

On his Twitter page, a while back, Peter, while responding to a tweep, announced the end of their band. Peter made it known that there is no Psquare anymore; he is his own Square. He said that Jude and Paul are the new Psquare and urged Nigerians to manage them.

Months back, Peter threw a subtle shade at his family as he sent a message to the general public, stating that one shouldn’t allow family to be the reason they’re drowning in silence. He noted how he did for over 20 years, and it cost me everything. Peter noted how love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray, and family doesn’t steal from you.
