Social media users are showing support and love for Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli over her new movie on YouTube.
The actress, who last year had to take down one of her movies over copyright issues, has been rocked again with another copyright claim.

A certain Chinonso Obiora Sky berry, a Canadian-based network engineer, had filed a copyright infringement claim against the actress, which led YouTube to take down her trending movie, Love In Every Word, which had over 7 million views.
According to Chinonso’s LinkedIn page, he owns Skyberry Studios, an Abuja-based photography and aerial videography business. He holds the position of Lead drone pilot and editor in the company.
Kemi Filani checked the actress’ YouTube page and noticed that the movie, which garnered over 7 million within 72 hours, had been taken down by YouTube.
Visitors on the site notice a message on the YouTube link, “This video is no longer available due to copyright claims by Chinonso Obiora Skyberry”.
Love In Every Word is a heartfelt romantic drama that explores love, emotional resilience and the power of communication in relationships. The movie is produced by Omoni Oboli and written by Mfon Abasi Michael Inyang.

This is undoubtedly a painful moment for Omoni, who made her return to the Cinema world last year. Kemi Filani reported that after 5 years of being away from the Vienna, Omoni made a return with The Uprising which grossed over N93 million within a week and became the number-one Nollywood film of the weekend.
At her movie premiere, Omoni couldn’t hold back her tears as she received a brand new car from her partners. Sharing a clip of the emotional moment, Omoni stated that it wasn’t just a car but a symbol of her growth, passion, and impact on shaping Nollywood.
Also, last year, Omoni had tooted her horns, after her 2019 movie, Last Year Single, made waves on Netflix despite it being years since it was released. She noted how her movie was still the number-one show on Netflix in Nigeria.
Recall that in early 2024, drama brewed, between Ruth Kadiri and Omoni, as they heavy shades on their respective Instagram stories. Ruth warned a certain colleague against hijacking her artists and messing them up. She accused the said person of purchasing views on the YouTube streaming platform which lowered the ratings of her proteges. In like manner, Omoni shared a prayer caption for her enemies.
