Tim Sherwood urges Fabio Paratici to complete Tottenham deal for ‘absolutely outstanding’ star

Tim Sherwood wants Tottenham to capture Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent basis, as the 21-year-old has been ‘absolutely outstanding’ so far this season.

Tottenham spent £8.3million in January to land Kulusevski on loan from Juventus. According to Sky Sports, they can make the deal permanent for just over £29m this summer if certain criteria are met.

Kulusevski has reinvigorated the Tottenham attack since making his debut against Southampton on February 9. He is forming a deadly front three with Heung-min Son and Harry Kane.

The Sweden international, who likes to operate at right wing, has found the net three times in 11 Premier League matches. Add six assists to that record, and it’s clear to see why Antonio Conte likes him so much.

Kulusevski bagged a goal and an assist during Spurs’ 4-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday. He was in full flow against Steven Gerrard’s side, causing their defenders all sorts of problems.

Reacting to that performance, Sherwood labelled the £29m buy-out clause an ‘absolute snip’.

“Amazing… I can’t tell you how difficult it is to play in the Premier League and for a foreign player to come over,” Sherwood said (via The Boot Room).

“Some superstars have come from abroad and been absolutely rubbish, but this boy has taken to it like a duck to water.

“He’s 21 years of age. They’ve got an option to buy him for £29m. Now, when he first came and he hadn’t played, you thought it might be a lot of money, it is an absolute snip at the moment.

“This boy has got an eye for a goal, he’s settled in with world class players up front with him, he’s enjoying his time now.

“Without doubt, they are going to trigger the option at the end of the season.

“He’s an asset to the football club, he will only get better. Absolutely outstanding. We have to give Antonio Conte and [Fabio] Paratici [credit].”

Kulusevski will likely start in Tottenham’s next match. They come up against Brighton on Saturday at 12:30.
