The Media Adviser to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe, has accused President Bola Tinubu of neglecting the fight against bandits and terrorists.
Naijaonpoint reports that Ibe, in a post via 𝕏 handle on Wednesday, alleged that Tinubu was paying a lobbying firm in the United States (US) $9 million to launder the image of his administration.
According to Atiku’s aide, Tinubu is focused on giving a positive spin to his incompetence and clueless administration.
He wrote, “Instead of fighting terrorists and bandits, President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT is fighting to give a positive spin to the efforts of its incompetent and clueless government.
“Instead of investing money and efforts to protect Nigerians from terrorists and bandits, Tinubu is paying a US lobby firm $9 million to launder the image of its government.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has entered into a significant contract with a U.S.-based public affairs and lobbying firm, DCI Group, to facilitate communication regarding its efforts to protect Christians in Nigeria.

A detailed contract agreement, filed with the U.S. Department of Justice, reveals that the Nigerian government, represented by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu through Aster Legal, has hired DCI Group for a sum of $9 million. The contract will span six months, with the possibility of an automatic renewal for another six months, commencing on December 17, 2025.
The scope of the contract includes strategic communication to U.S. officials about Nigeria’s actions to safeguard its Christian communities. Additionally, the lobbying firm is tasked with maintaining U.S. support in Nigeria’s ongoing battle against jihadist groups and other destabilizing forces in West Africa.
