KANO — Frontline APC chieftain, Fa’izu Alfindiki, on Saturday declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is “sacrosanct” and “non-negotiable,” as he urged Nigerians, particularly Northerners, to rally behind the President for a second term.
Faizu Alfindiki said returning Tinubu to office would enable him to consolidate ongoing reforms and complete development programmes initiated by his administration, particularly those targeted at communities across Northern Nigeria.
He urged Nigerians to remain united and “honour their commitment” by supporting the President at the 2027 polls, stressing that continuity was necessary to sustain the gains of the administration.
“The time has come to honour our commitment, support continuity, and allow proven leaders to do more for our people and our nation,” he said.
In Kano, Alfindiki called on voters to re-elect Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, citing the administration’s development initiatives and its “Kano First” agenda.
He said the agenda had placed the interests of Kano and its people at the centre of government policy, urging residents to support Yusuf for another term.
Alfindiki also canvassed support for Senator Barau I. Jibrin in Kano North, asking constituents to return the senator for a fourth term.
He said Barau’s contributions to nation-building, community development and representation warranted another mandate.
According to Alfindiki, the 2027 election should be used to strengthen continuity by retaining leaders who have demonstrated commitment to serving the people.
He therefore appealed to voters across the North to unite behind what he described as a common pursuit of continuity, development and effective leadership.
