Tokyo Revengers sequel to drop a new trailer

Tokyo Revengers has one of the most unique stories in the anime world, focusing on a protagonist who ventures into the past in an attempt to stop the formation of a gang that will lead to the death of the love of his life. With the anime’s second season streaming on Hulu, the franchise has become popular enough to warrant a feature length live-action movie, with not one but two films hitting theaters in Japan.

Both films will hit theaters in Japan later this year, with the first “Tokyo Avengers: Halloween Bloody Fate“, which will arrive on the twenty-first of April, and the second,”Tokyo Avengers: Bloody Halloween: Decisive Battle,” hitting the big screen on June 30. With the series recently approaching its manga pages, it is yet to be confirmed if these new films will cover all of their source material or if there will be more sequels coming down the shaft.

Tokyo avengers 2 trailer

You can watch the new trailer from the live-action adaptation of Tokyo Revengers below, as the films do an amazing job of bringing some of these animated characters to life, although a North American release for these films has not been confirmed at this time:

If you haven’t had the chance to delve into this time travel saga, the original publishers of Tokyo Avengers Manga Kodansha has released an official description of the series:

Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana has died since way back in middle school. His only girlfriend ever was murdered by an evil group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a squalid apartment with thin walls, and is treated 6 years younger by his boss. Like an idiot. In addition to being a complete and all-encompassing virgin…!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must target Kanto’s largest evil delinquent gang!”

Do you think these live-action animated sequels will one day make it to North America? Feel free to tell us in the comments or hit me up directly on Twitter @EVComedy to talk all things comics, anime, and the world of time travel.
