The burial of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has been postponed until further notice.
The family announced the decision in a post shared on the actress’ Instagram page on Wednesday.
According to the statement, ...ponement was made to allow the family to conclude further arrangements following the Candlelight and Artist’s Night held in her honour on Tuesday.

With deep sadness, the family of Tope Osoba wishes to inform friends, colleagues, fans, and well-wishers that the burial ceremony has been POSTPONED until further notice.
“Following the Candlelight / Artist’s Night held in honour of Tope, the family has decided to postpone the burial to allow for further arrangements and necessary conclusions.
“The family respectfully asks everyone for their understanding, patience, prayers, and continued support during this difficult and sensitive period.
“The new burial date and venue will be communicated officially by the family once the necessary matters have been resolved.
“We sincerely appreciate everyone who came out to honour Tope, as well as all those who have continued to stand by the family with their prayers, love, and support.
“Further updates will be communicated through the family’s official channels.

Osoba died in August 2026 after a battle with breast cancer. Her death came about two years after she publicly sought financial assistance for treatment.
In November 2024, her colleague Foluke Daramola disclosed that Osoba had undergone breast cancer surgery and was recovering. Osoba later spoke about her experience, revealing that she had discovered a lump in her breast and was subsequently diagnosed with cancer.
In August 2025, Osoba announced her return to acting after completing treatment. She described the experience as a turning point in her life and said she was beginning a new chapter in her career.
