Tottenham have added Destiny Udogie to their summer list of additions, after agreeing to a £15m deal with Udinese that also includes performance bonuses; the left-back will return to the Serie A club and remain there on loan for the season ahead.
After things have calmed down a bit in London, following a heated London derby between Chelsea and Spurs, the latter announced their seventh summer arrival with the inclusion of Destiny Udogie, the only difference is he will return to Udinese to play out the 2022/2023 season out with them.
He will sign a five-year contract with the North Londoners, keeping him at the club until 2027. He is a signing for the future.
This is purely based on the fact that they already have Ryan Sessegnon and other newcomer, Ivan Perisic, playing in the left-back department. Also, outcast Sergio Reguilon still needs to be offloaded by the club, leaving them with three first-team left-backs before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham have agreed a deal with Udinese to sign their promising young left wing-back Destiny Udogie.
Spurs will pay an initial £15m and there are also some performance-related bonuses on top.

Ryan Sessegnon Appears to Be Conte’s First-Choice at Tottenham
Tottenham has already played a team from the bottom half of the Premier League table and a top-four competitor in Southampton and Chelsea, respectively. Spurs have claimed points from both games, winning the first and stealing a point in the second.
Sessegnon started both games for Antonio Conte but is yet to finish one; he has played 121 minutes and scored one goal. Ivan Perisic was used as an impact player and introduced as the second choice in both games, assisting the equalising goal in the second encounter against the Blues.
With this selection pattern clear, Destiny Udogie’s game time would be limited and his amazing progress would take a hit and possibly slow down.
Plan confirmed. Destiny Udogie will land in London around 8pm tonight, medicals scheduled with Tottenham early next week. 🚨⚪️ #THFC

Destiny Udogie Is the First-Choice Selection For Udinese
At Udinese, Udogie made 37 appearances (31 of them being starts), scored five goals and assisted a further three. He was used all over on the left-hand side of the pitch, as well as a defensive midfielder.
He will gain more playing minutes and experience at the top level. With Perisic already 33 years old, the 19-year-old can come in when the Croatian’s time is up at Tottenham. Every part of this deal makes sense and all parties involved are winners.
Spurs are currently laying the position they ended the 2021/22 season in, in fourth and have collected four points from a possible six available to them. Their next fixture kick-starts Matchday 3 of the Premier League next weekend Saturday against the Wolves.
