Super Eagles invitee, Papa Mustapha Daniel, is on the verge of sealing a move to Swiss giants Young Boys Bern, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian midfielder piqued the interest of Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, who handed him a call-up ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifying fixture against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The 23-year-old, who was on the bench during his debut for Nigeria in the last international window and has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe.
However, Per Africa Foot, it appears the former Adanaspor midfielder is Switzerland-bound, with negotiations reportedly at an advanced stage.
Why Did Papa Daniel Exit Adanaspor for NPFL?
Per reports, Daniel cut ties with Turkish club Adanaspor following four months of unpaid wages, this forced him to return to the Nigeria Professional Football League, where he briefly featured for Sporting SFC before moving to Niger Tornadoes.
Since joining the Minna-based club, Papa Daniel has scored three goals and provided three assists in 21 appearances for the club.

A move to Young Boys, one of the top clubs in Switzerland, could revive Daniel’s career in Europe and provide him with the platform to further cement his place in the national team.
Although there has not been any public statement on the transfer, an official announcement is expected, pending final agreements and medicals.
