Travis Scott is finally responding to the public diss aimed at him by Pusha T during the rollout of Clipse’s album Let God Sort Em Out.
Pusha took direct shots on the track “So Be It,” accusing Scott of deception and even hinting that he possessed damaging footage. He later expanded on the feud in interviews, claiming Scott played an edited version of “Meltdown” during a Paris studio session with Pharrell Williams, leaving out Drake’s verse, which contained disses aimed at Pharrell.
Now Scott is disputing that version of events. In a new cover story with Rolling Stone, he called the accusations confusing and exaggerated. “N—as said I had a film crew with me,” Scott said. “I’m like, ‘What?’ I pulled up and they had the film crew. I was like, ‘Am I in a documentary?’”
Scott also denied intentionally hiding Drake’s verse. “The verse wasn’t even done yet,” he said. “A lot of what he was saying didn’t make sense to me.”
As for being dragged into the album rollout, Scott sounded unfazed. “If you gotta drop Trav’s name for the rollout,” he said, “so be it.”
Despite the tension, Scott says his focus is forward. “I’m putting my whole body and soul into the next project,” he added, determined to let the music speak for itself.
