Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested three men suspected of snatching mobile phones in parts of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The suspects were apprehended on Thursday, September 3, following a report about alleged phone-snatching activities around the Yanshanu and Rikkos areas of Jos.

Security operatives reportedly moved to the area after receiving information about the suspects’ activities at about 4:45 p.m.

The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals identified as 27-year-old Abudulgafar Dahiru, 27-year-old Nasiru Buhari and 21-year-old Nawasi Ismai.

According to security sources, the suspects were subjected to preliminary questioning after their arrest.

They were said to have admitted their involvement in the alleged phone-snatching activities during the initial investigation.

Their arrest is expected to assist security authorities in uncovering more details about the alleged operation and determining whether other individuals were involved.

“The arrests followed a timely response to information provided about criminal activities in the area,” a security source said.

Following their detention, the three suspects were transferred to the Keystone Nasarawa Gwong Division for further investigation.
