Troops have arrested two suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and seized a large consignment of motorcycle spare parts in Borno State.
The operation was carried out by soldiers of 159 Battalion alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
The suspects were intercepted while allegedly moving the items for delivery to terrorist elements.
The security forces made the arrest at about 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, after stopping the suspects during the movement of the consignment from Asaye Village in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area.
Among the seized items were 50 motorcycle tyres, 10 crankshafts, 50 oil seals, 31 traffic indicators, 49 acceleration cables and 46 clutch cables.
The troops also recovered 20 spindles, 10 packs of bearings, 20 brake rods, 75 gaskets, 20 brake shoes, 80 piston kits, and 146 chains and sprockets.
Other motorcycle components found in the consignment included 11 speedometers, 15 clutch plates, piston rings, 32 rocker arms, 10 CDI units, 100 shock rubbers and 10 coils.
The list further contained 64 Danpa rubbers, 20 rectifiers, 30 fuel taps, 50 fuel filters, 20 Pag valves, 24 hand pumps and 10 ignition keys.
Security personnel also recovered 10 complete clutches, 19 clutch levers, 20 Super KG spare parts and 145 pairs of footwear.
Three mobile phones and ₦3,200 cash were equally taken from the suspects during the operation.
The recovered items are believed to have been intended to strengthen the mobility and operational capacity of terrorist groups in the area.
The suspects and the recovered materials have since been transferred to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment (27 MIR) for further investigation.
The arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to disrupt the supply networks that sustain terrorist activities in Borno State.
By targeting logistics suppliers, troops are seeking to cut off access to equipment and materials needed by armed groups to maintain their operations.
Further intelligence gathering is expected to help security authorities uncover other individuals linked to the alleged supply chain around the Damasak-Mobbar axis.
