Sean “Diddy” Combs may not have to remain behind for much longer, as a fresh report has surfaced claiming that Donald Trump is seriously considering pardoning him very soon.
Sources told Deadline that the former president is seriously considering granting Diddy a full pardon ahead of his October 3 sentencing in a New York sex-trafficking case.
Talk of a potential pardon began nearly two months ago when Trump mentioned it casually at the White House. Since then, insiders say the idea has gained traction, with people close to Diddy lobbying behind the scenes and the matter reportedly evolving into “an actionable event.”
The 54-year-old disgraced music mogul has been held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September 2024. Convicted on partial charges earlier this month, the music mogul could face two to three years in federal prison.
Judge Arun Subramanian is expected to consider time already served at sentencing.
While federal prosecutors are pushing for the maximum sentence, Diddy’s legal team is widely expected to appeal.
