Sixteen-time Turkish Super Lig winners, Besiktas JK, are currently eyeing a move for Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 28-year-old moved to the City Ground on a free deal from Torino in the summer of 2023 and has proven his worth this season, with many pushing for the former Chelsea defender to be included in the English Premier League team of the season.
Aina’s current contract runs out next month, although he’ll have the option to extend for another year if Forest avoid relegation, and that’s on course to happen.

As per Nottingham Post, Besiktas are monitoring the Nigerian international’s situation on the banks of the Trent. Solksjaer’s side are ready to “try their luck” if Aina’s long-term future is not sorted.
Beyond the 12-month extension clause set to be triggered in Aina’s contract, Forest are preparing an improved deal for the one-time English Premier League winner. However, should the Super Eagles star refuse the contract, Besiktas are lurking on the outside to pounce on any opportunities.
Aina has a long list of suitors, as Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Roma, AC Milan, and Galatasaray are among the teams to have been credited with an interest in him, meaning Besiktas face huge competition for the versatile defender.
In the meantime, Aina’s focus is on qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, and their only ticket to playing Europe’s biggest competition is if they defeat Chelsea in the English Premier League this weekend.
