TTP plans AI deployment to tackle operational delays

The Truck Transit Parks Limited has announced plans to integrate advanced predictive analytics and artificial intelligence into its platform to tackle operational delays.

Disclosing this in a recent interview with The PUNCH, the co-founder of TTP, Mr. Jama Onwubuariri, said the company is focused on taking technological innovation to the next level in 2025.

“This year, we are focused on taking our technological innovation to the next level. We plan to integrate advanced predictive analytics and artificial intelligence into our platform to anticipate congestion, optimise truck scheduling, and further reduce operational delays,” Onwubuariri said.

He mentioned that the company is also looking at expanding its partnerships with both public and private stakeholders to enhance its network coverage, particularly at emerging ports and satellite truck parks across the country and West Africa.

According to him, their goal is to drive continuous improvement, refining “our systems, reducing costs further, and ultimately setting new benchmarks for efficiency and transparency in maritime logistics.”

Onwubuariri explained that through their innovative approach, the company has generated substantial economic savings for the nation.

He reiterated that by reducing truck turnaround times, cutting down on fraudulent practices, and streamlining cargo movement, “our platform is estimated to have saved the nation billions in operational costs and lost productivity.”

He pointed out that these savings are not only reflected in reduced logistics expenses but also in enhanced competitiveness for Nigerian ports, which ultimately contributes to broader economic growth.
