The United States Mission in Nigeria has announced the launch of the “Made in America, Loved in Nigeria” Social Media Skit Contest, a nationwide digital competition aimed at showcasing how American products, brands, and ideas positively impact communities across Nigeria.

The contest, which runs from December 1 to December 8, 2025, invites young Nigerians to create compelling 90-second vertical skits illustrating how U.S. innovations enhance daily life, improve productivity, and support progress in sectors such as business, education, technology, creativity, and community development.

In a statement made available by the U.S. Mission in Nigeria, participants must publicly upload their original skits on YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook while tagging @USinNigeria.

They are also encouraged to share the same content across additional platforms including X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, using the hashtags: #MadeInAmericaLovedInNigeria #TradeThatTransforms

The competition is open to Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 45 residing in the country.

According to the Mission, the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s rapidly growing creative sector and deepening cultural and economic relations between both countries.

By encouraging digital storytelling from young Nigerians, the U.S. mission aims to highlight the role American innovation plays in shaping opportunities and enhancing the quality of life across Nigeria.

The Mission described the contest as a platform to celebrate the ingenuity, talent, and entrepreneurial spirit of Nigeria’s youth while fostering stronger partnerships built on shared creativity and innovation.
