UBA grows profit by 6.06% to N335.53bn in H1 2025

United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) on Thursday declared 6.06 per cent increase in profit after tax to N335.5billion in half year ended June 30,  2025 audited result and accounts compared to N316.36billion declared in half year ended June 30, 2024.

The Pan-African financial institution on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) in its result and accounts posted N388.41 billion profit before tax in H1 2025 from N401.6billion declared in H1 2024.

Amid significant increase in profit, the board of directors proposed an interim dividend of N0.25kobo per share from N2.00 kobo per share H1 2024 from the retained earnings account as at June 30, 2025.

From the balance sheet position, UBA posted N33.27trillion as of June 30, 2025, about 9.7 per cent increase over N30.32 trillion posted in 2024 full financial year.

Key factors contributing to UBA’s total assets include loans & advances to customers and deposits from customers.

In the period under review, UBA posted N7.2 trillion loans & advances to customers, nearly four per cent increase over N6.95 trillion reported last year, while deposits from customers closed H1 2025 at N24.2 trillion, representing about 10.5 per cent growth from N21.9 trillion reported in 2024FY.
