Ulefone has announced two new ‘Armor Mini’ smartphones, the Armor Mini 20 Pro and Armor Mini 20T Pro. The difference between these two smartphones is in their thermal imaging capabilities. The ‘T’ version does offer a thermal imaging camera setup, while the other phone does not. Other than that, the two phones are basically the same.

We’re used to seeing this from Ulefone at this point. It’s a nice approach, as it allows people to pay less for a phone if they don’t need the thermal imaging tech. The Ulefone Armor 20 Mini does have the IR camera setup, though.
Both of these smartphones do look like rugged phones, though, there’s no mistaking that. They’re both also quite compact, as their name says. You’ll hardly find a more compelling compact rugged smartphone out there.
Both of these smartphones include a 4.7-inch HD+ display, which offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The two phones are fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and come with 8GB of RAM. you can expand that via virtual RAM, though, up to 16GB.
They have a large battery & can work in extreme temperatures
You’re also getting 256GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 2TB. Android 14 comes pre-installed on this smartphone, while a large 6,200mAh battery is also included in the package. The phone supports 33W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
Both of these smartphones can withstand drops from up to 2 meters, and submersion in water up to 2m below the surface. They can also stay there for up to 24 hours without a problem. They also operate at extreme temperatures from -30 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius.
FLIR thermal imaging is integrated into the ‘T’ version of the phone. A 50-megapixel main camera sits on the back of both phones. That’s the Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor, which is a 1/1.31-inch camera sensor.
A side-facing fingerprint scanner is included, as are two SIM card slots
A side-facing fingerprint scanner sits on both phones, while facial scanning via the front camera is also available. Both smartphones offer a dual SIM setup, and it’s dual standby too, by the way.
Ulefone did not share the price tags for these phones, but we do know they’ll go on sale via AliExpress starting from October 21.
