About 24 per cent of the employees of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc have been promoted after the conclusion of its annual staff assessment and performance evaluation exercise.

It was gathered the promotion was across various departments and the beneficiaries were those who consistently demonstrated outstanding achievement, integrity and dedication to the bank’s values and growth objectives.

The bank said by celebrating top performers and maintaining robust standards, it is well positioned to deliver sustainable value to its stakeholders and the wider community.

It also expressed its commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and accountability throughout the organisation, noting that it is passionate about creating opportunities for growth, rewarding merit and supporting all employees throughout their career journeys.

According to a statement from the lender, this year’s promotion exercise is the highest promotion rate recorded in the past 10 years, reflecting its enduring commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence, nurturing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture.
