The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.33 per cent loss on Friday, September 19, with the market capitalisation shedding N7.07 billion to close at N2.114 trillion compared with the previous day’s N2.121 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) closed at declined by 11.83 points to finish at 3,534.09 points compared with the previously quoted 3,545.92 points.
The volume of securities recorded yesterday surged by 6,796.9 per cent to 5.4 million units from the previous 78,871 units, as the value of securities jumped by 5,514.2 per cent to N37.4 million from N666,213.95, while the number of deals depreciated by 18.5 per cent to 22 deals from 27 deals.
Okitipupa Plc was still the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 158.7 million units transacted for N5.9 billion, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units worth N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 44.9 million units valued at N1.9 billion.
Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc was the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 1.2 billion units worth N418.4 million, trailed by Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units sold for N524.8 million, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units valued at N4.2 billion.
During the trading day, there were two price losers and three price gainers led by Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc, which gained 50 Kobo to end at N41.50 per unit compared with Thursday’s value of N41.00 per unit, Geo-Fluids Plc added 40 Kobo to close at N4.45 per share versus N4.05 per share, and IGI Plc grew by 5 Kobo to end at 64 Kobo per unit, in contrast to the previous day’s 59 Kobo per unit.
On the flip side, Food Concepts Plc lost 41 Kobo to finish at N3.78 per share compared with the preceding session’s N4.19 per share, and Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc declined by 29 Kobo to N2.66 per unit from N2.95 per unit.
