Liverpool are eyeing Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as a possible marquee signing as they prepare to defend their Premier League crown next season, Footynaija.com reports.
Arne Slot’s side stormed to their 20th league title with an emphatic 5-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield. But despite the celebrations, the Reds are bracing for a summer of major changes, with Trent Alexander-Arnold confirming his departure and both Darwin Nunez and backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher expected to be sold.
With several exits on the horizon, Liverpool are ready to spend big in the transfer market, with high-priority reinforcements being targeted at left-back, centre-back, and centre-forward.

According to talkSPORT, Osimhen is one of three top striker options under consideration, alongside RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres. The trio are seen as potential additions to lighten the attacking burden on Mohamed Salah, who has already scored 33 goals in all competitions this season.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray in a sensational loan move from Napoli, has been in prolific form in Turkey, matching Salah’s tally of 33 goals this campaign. His performances have put Galatasaray within touching distance of both the Super Lig title and Turkish Cup.
With the Nigerian forward expected to leave Galatasaray this summer, a transfer battle is looming, with Chelsea, Manchester United, and several European clubs monitoring his availability. There also remains significant interest from Saudi Pro League sides.
Osimhen’s next move could define the summer window — and possibly Liverpool’s future.
