A viral video of the late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, seeking forgiveness from Nigerians during his final days in office in 2023 has resurfaced.
The video was re-shared by his media aide Bashir Ahmad on Sunday following the announcement of his death.
He said, “Whoever thought that there has been some form of injustice on him we are all humans, there is no doubt I hurt some people, and I wish they would pardon me and those who think that I have hurt them, please pardon me”. – late President Muhammadu Buhari (May, 2023).
AMILOADED had earlier reported that Buhari died in London on Sunday around 4:30 p.m. after battling a prolonged illness.
Buhari served as Nigeria’s democratically elected president in 2015 and was re-elected in 2019.
He was also Nigeria’s military Head of State from January 1984 to August 1985.
President Buhari during his speech said he remains grateful to Nigerians, who voted him in 2015 and 2019, without any monetary incentive, with some trooping to the campaigns, and receptions in states just to catch a glimpse.
