Vivo officially introduced the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro smartphones for global markets, beginning with Malaysia. The launch follows its earlier debut in China last month, expanding this premium smartphone lineup worldwide. Unfortunately, the Vivo X200 Mini will not be available for global release.
Vivo X200 Global Models Offer High-End Displays
The Vivo X200 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its Pro variant ups the game with a slightly larger 6.78-inch AMOLED panel. Both models offer a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making them suitable for bright outdoor environments. The X200 Pro also boasts 8T LTPO technology, ensuring smoother adaptive refresh rates and enhanced energy efficiency.
The displays come with 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, minimizing flicker and enhancing viewing comfort, especially in low-light conditions.
Under the hood, both models use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, delivering robust performance for demanding tasks. Equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, the devices promise seamless multitasking and fast data transfer speeds, Fone Arena reported.
The phones run Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and have a user-friendly interface. Additionally, they are IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance, appealing to durability-conscious users.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the advanced camera systems on both models. The Vivo X200 uses a 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor with Zeiss T* coating, which enhances image clarity and reduces glare. Its ultra-wide and telephoto cameras also feature 50MP sensors, ensuring versatile performance across various shooting scenarios.
The X200 Pro steps up with a 200MP ISOCELL HP9 sensor co-developed with Samsung. This camera, combined with a 3.7x optical zoom and 20x telephoto macro magnification, offers professional-grade photography and videography capabilities. Features such as 4K HDR cinematic portrait videos and slow-motion shooting enhance creative possibilities.
Battery and Charging Capabilities
The Vivo X200 packs a 5800mAh battery with 90W fast charging, while the X200 Pro offers a larger 6000mAh battery. The Pro model also supports 30W wireless charging, catering to users seeking convenience alongside longevity.
The Vivo X200 starts at RM 3,599 (approximately $804), and the X200 Pro is priced at RM 4,699 (approximately $1,050). Both models are now available for pre-order in Malaysia, with added benefits for X200 Pro purchases before November 22.
