President Volodymyr Zelensky has praised the Ukrainian military for carrying out a “rapid and vigorous advance” in southern Ukraine that has resulted in the liberation of dozens of cities over the past week.
During his speech on Tuesday, Mr Zelensky said that this week dozens of villages in the Kherson, Kharkov, Luhansk and Donetsk regions have been liberated from Russian occupiers.
He named eight small towns in the Kherson region, including Lyubymivka, Khreshchenivka, Zolota Balka, Bilyaivka, Ukrainka, Velyka and Mala Oleksandrivka, and Davydiv Brid, as the newly recaptured towns.
“The Ukrainian army is making a fairly rapid and vigorous advance in the south of our country,” he said.
“Dozens of settlements have been liberated from the Russian fake referendum this week alone. Our warriors are not stopping. And it is only a matter of time before we drive the occupier from our entire country.”
