The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the timetable for the 2025 GCE 2nd Series (November/December) Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations.
According to WAEC, the 2025 GCE 2nd Series will begin on Friday, October 24, 2025, and end on Thursday, December 18, 2025. This will be the first-ever WAEC GCE to be conducted fully via CBT, marking a major step in the Council’s digital transformation of examination processes.

WAEC GCE 2025 Now Fully Computer-Based
WAEC confirmed that the introduction of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for the GCE is aimed at improving transparency, reducing examination malpractice, and enhancing efficiency in grading and result processing.
Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the CBT environment before the examination to avoid any form of difficulty during the test.
How to Prepare for the WAEC GCE 2nd Series 2025
Candidates are strongly advised to prepare using WAEC past questions and to practice with WAEC and NECO CBT software or mobile apps, which simulate the actual exam format.
These apps provide access to both objective and theory questions with answers and detailed explanations, helping students understand question patterns and improve time management.
