Elche midfielder Aleix Febas performed the Victor Boniface celebration after scoring the opening goal in their 2-2 draw against Real Madrid on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.
While Boniface himself has not scored a goal in eight months, at the peak of his powers, he was scoring goals with reckless abandon for Bayer Leverkusen.
In 61 games, he contributed 31 goals and 12 assists for Die Werkself, even helping them to the Bundesliga title two seasons ago.

Aside from his ability to get amongst the goals, what has made Boniface truly popular is his unique goal celebration.
He has a distinctive way of celebrating: he runs to the corner flag in a funny manner, before jumping and punching the air.

This celebration has earned him recognition, and in some cases, a “bromance” with many top players, including Antonio Rüdiger.
On Sunday, Elche welcomed Real Madrid to the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero and put up a solid showing against the Spanish giants. After a goalless first half, the dynamic changed in the second.

Victor Boniface Still Searching For First Werder Bremen Goal
Victor Boniface’s scoring numbers have dropped significantly over the past year. He has managed to score just three goals this calendar year, with only one of those coming since March.
The 24-year-old striker, who turns 25 next month, has yet to find the net for Werder Bremen after nine games. This decline is largely due to injuries.
Boniface has spent a lot of time on the sidelines in the past year, which has clearly affected his performance.
Also, his off-pitch challenges have not helped his situation. He has been severely criticized by many Nigerian football fans for his social media antics.
He also had a failed transfer move to AC Milan in the summer, a situation that would understandably affect most players mentally.
Nonetheless, the Super Eagles striker will be looking to rekindle his scoring touch as soon as possible
